Dominique J. Williams is a classically trained instrumentalist, composer, and producer who has been creating since 2009. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, his roots on the East Coast have shaped both his sound and his ambitions — chief among them, a lifelong pursuit of the craft level achieved by producers like Pharrell Williams. He graduated from Full Sail University in January 2019 with a Music Production B.S. in order to expand his skill set and reach. Dominique's work has been published in Style Weekly, RVA Magazine, The Cheats Movement Blog and Podcast, and various other books, magazines and websites. His production career began with sampling video game soundtracks and teaching himself piano by ear, playing theme songs until the music was in his hands. That foundation led to his first rap mixtape, which earned him regional recognition and established the approach he returns to now: plan, execute, manifest. His music is built for attention. The lyrics are precise and the engineering is designed for mass appeal — but the work carries something underneath, an interest in the stories that words alone cannot tell. That instinct extends to his visual work, where the atmospheres in his music find their narrative form. His next major project is a film, the soundtrack of which is already in progress. By day, Dominique teaches music production and cinematography to youth. He resides on the US East Coast and often travels for opportunities. In his spare time, he is learning the C# programming language.
